I am a human rights scholar, with specialisation in transitional justice and international criminal law and an interest in constitutional law. I began my career as adult education teacher in 1991. My professional experience ranges from judgeship to human rights teaching, editorship in peer-reviewed academic journals, management of a postgraduate programme on reproductive and sexual rights, involvement in nonviolent struggle, and leadership in the non-profit sector. I also have a proven track record of publications in peer reviewed academic journals and edited volumes, including a sole-authored book on human rights, transitional justice and international criminal law. In different times, I studied, lectured, worked, presented academic papers and attended international conferences in the following countries: Belgium, England, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Germany, Ghana, Kenya, Ireland, Israel/Palestine, Morocco, the Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Scotland, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, Uganda, and the United States of America.
